Dear Parents,
Just a few notes as we head into week three of the 2015 – 2016 school year…
1. Our Family Unit
We are going to be starting a unit on “families” and our identity. To help us, please send back this form (see other side) with your child’s current address and the phone number you would like them to memorize. It is important for every child to know their address and phone number in case of an emergency. It also gives them a sense of home and familiarity in a busy world!
I would also like to have a few photos of family members for the students to share with the class. Please include additional family that lives with you or that your child sees often (aunties, uncles and grandparents welcome!) Don’t forget to include pets, because they’re family, too!
2. Our words and homework…
I am so pleased with the students’ performance on their class work and homework this last week! They have taken to learning the word families like pros! Keep up the good work!
3. Reminder for an extra set of clothes…
As with last year, I would like to keep an extra set of items for each child at school, should a bathroom accident or spill occur. Please send at least one pair of underwear, socks, pants and two shirts (one long-sleeve and one short sleeve) for your child. They will have individual bins to keep their “spare clothes” in. If the spares are needed to be used along the way, I will let you know so that we can replenish their “spare clothes” bin for the next time.
I sent home a clasp envelope for you to return with this form and the photos, along with a form requesting the preferred phone number and address for your child to work on "memorizing" for emergency purposes.
-Mrs. Ready
At Ray, we are RESPONSIBLE, we are SAFE, and we LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN!
Remember: It is a GREAT day to be a Ray Warrior!
